I am ridiculous. I know. I don't make comics often, so sorry if it seems abrupt/choppy/overall not too good. I think it's okay. the strange, futuristic hybrid text is to show his internal computer messages.
I'm going to try giving another contest a shot, and this one just looked to delicious to pass up: like a warm, soft chocolate chip cookie...
Anyways, the story to this contest is your character gets sucked into this alternate dimension via a mysterious gate that leaves them stranded in a modern, although darkened world. Where the sky is being blocked out by mysterious creatures that flock in clouds...
I didn't reveal much on the character because, first, I don't know if I'll make it into the final roster, and second, I'm leaving my mind open at the time. ( I haven't even chosen his name yet.)
Anyways, a little explanation: He literally got thrown out of the gate, and landed on his head a bit, knocking out his CPU for a moment. When it finally reboots, his mind goes through a bit of a mental breakdown of information and plays through random bits of code and images. He's basically got a horrible glitch now (That will play through more of the comic) and a dent in his head.
Along with that, his GPS, clock, radio, and other little bits of software have stopped functioning. He wanders outside of the building, which happens to be a small, old warehouse by the ocean, to discover the sky is very different from his home dimension.
Color in last panel... Ooh... It works for atmosphere. I don't draw backgrounds much, either...
Yes, he's totally the character from another piece of my work. I'm toning down his colors, though. I wanted to try a less serious character, who thinks and speaks to himself and others more.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
